地獄

September 2, 2010

Tomorrow, two weeks of studying chinese is down. It’s been tough, and I’m finding myself wanting to give up. That’s not going to happen thought, I never give up. *dramatic music* I just whine and complain. :p BUT luckily I’m not on my way to China any time soon and won’t accidently ask  a stranger if I may kiss them instead of asking what their name is, or something.

The kanjis (that word will never be replaced bu “characters” apparently) are okay and the grammar seems okay so far (note: we’ve only learned to things like say i’m not an american teacher and my name is also Chung…) but so far so good.

It’s the talking I hate! I hate talking in audiences in general. Stumbling in words, wrong tones, suddenly letter blindness, begins the sentence backwards.

but I will stay positive! @_@ And try not to throw myself in the river by the next week.

Never expected chinese to be easy, but I usually don’t go into the doom-mood before christmas, YES I know it’s only been two weeks, but despair & desperation don’t have a schedule.

可口可乐 – Coca Cola, written in Chinese. I will have to kill you if you ask me to pronounce it.

So far I quite like the teachers, the are not really scary or mean or any way. Not looking forward to when they speed up the talking thought, already it’s way too fast when they ask questions. I need all the words slooowly so I can hear all the tones dammit!  Japanese was so much easier to speak. xD

我不是美国老师、你呢? But characters is more fun this time!

Oh, and:

does anyone have any movies or series in mandarin to recommend?
